The generous support from donors like you enables the CNE Foundation to sponsor youth sports programs at the CNE, such as our 3-on-3 basketball tournament and youth baseball tournaments. Your contributions help provide not only memorable experiences, but also valuable opportunities for young athletes, including girls, racialized youth, and other youth who face barriers, to build confidence and develop essential life skills like self-esteem and leadership that help them achieve their potential.

Youth Community Baseball

Fielding baseball dreams for generations

The CNE Foundation is proud to present youth community baseball during the CNE. Each summer, 410 boys and 120 girls from across the province make their way to the Ex to play ball! This includes the Lions-CNE Baseball Tournament, which celebrated its 63rd anniversary in 2019.

Community support of the CNE Foundation helps to ensure this cherished community tradition can be enjoyed for many more generations to come. Together, we are making these memorable experiences possible and helping to foster youth participation in sports programs. The impact lasts a lifetime.

Supporting dreams on and off the court

At the CNE Foundation, we grateful for your generous support toward bringing the excitement of 3-on-3 basketball to the Canadian National Exhibition each summer. Your partnership is the driving force behind this exceptional program, empowering our young athletes to reach new heights on the court and in their lives.

Thanks to the support of our CNE community and donors like you, hundreds of 10 to 14-year-olds have the opportunity to tip off at the CNE each summer, engaging their passion for basketball and staying active. The tournament’s design prioritizes diversity and inclusion to provide equal opportunities to all, including youth who face barriers in their daily lives. Half of all tournament spaces are dedicated to girls.

Through the CNE-OBA 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, 320 players from across the province compete in five categories (Girls and Boys teams): Under 10, Under 11, Under 12, Under 13 and Under 14.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of children who may not have the chance to enjoy recreational sports activities. Your support ensures that more kids have the opportunity to play and thrive.
